Under Ballynatrasna House, a forgotten passage hid two ogham stones until men broke through in 1844. One stood six feet tall, its angle worn smooth by time, perhaps marking a dead man or a boundary nobody remembered. Scholars still argue whether the marks say LODIMONI or LADIMANI, while the other stone escaped to a university corridor. The first was set upright again on the ghost of an erased rath, pointing at a world that vanished before writing was invented.

Found within a Man-made underground passage (CO065-03202-) opened in 1844 inside a ringfort (CO065-03201-) next to Ballynatrasna House. Re-erected within the townland on the site of 'another erased rath' (CO065-097----) (Atkinson 1883-84, 309). The stone (H 6ft 4in; 1ft 8in x 1ft) has a worn inscription on the dexter angle of the SE face, read by Macalister (1945, 68, no. 64) as LODIMONI (reading downwards) and by O'Kelly (1945, 152-3) as LADIMANI. A second ogham stone (CO065-098----) found in the same Man-made underground passage in now on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork (see CO074-146----).
