Located towards the bottom of the SE-facing slope of Lacken Hill. Centre-line testing (E4067) in advance of the N25 New Ross bypass identified and fully excavated a circular pit (diam. 0.55m N-S; 0.52m E-W; D 0.1m) with a black, charcoal-rich fill at its base. (Doyle et al. 2010, 48)
