Drumcondra church vanished except for one ringed cross cut deep into sandstone, leaving four raised quadrants like hands pressing through water. The slab is small enough to carry and old enough to have watched fields, roads and memories change around it. Whatever else the church held has gone, but the cross still marks the place where people gathered, prayed and buried their dead.

There is no evidence of the medieval church of Drumcondra (ME006-012001-) apart from a cross-slab and a font (ME006-012003-) in the graveyard (ME006-012004-). The cross-slab is described (Bradley and King 1985, 36) as a sandstone slab (dims 0.58m x 0.32m; T 0.12m) with a ringed cross cut deeply into the stone leaving the quadrants raised, but its precise location is not knwon.
