What is recorded here

Marked only as an arc of hachures N-E on the 1945 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is located towards the top of a rise on the N side of and at the E end of Glencar valley. This is a grass-covered D-shaped enclosure (dims 25m N-S; 15m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.2m). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008
