What is recorded here

An unidentified holy well sits at An Trá Bheag, beneath a cliff in Oughterard on the Loop Head peninsula. It is named only through old Dinnseanchas III writings, leaving its exact spot hidden from modern sight. People may have stood at that cliff edge, lowered jars into water no longer visible, and prayed beside a tide-fed hole the sea keeps changing. The well is not lost in invention, but in measurement: a sacred point the coast has stopped showing.
