Neckband Crag is a sea cliff composed of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340 to 320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its exposure of durable limestone strata that contribute to the characteristic coastal scenery of the Westmorland and Furness area.
