What is recorded here
Derrynoose old church in Listrakelt has worn at least five names before anyone thought to ask why. That is not confusion, it is memory. A place kept sacred through every change of language and faith until the names themselves became a kind of prayer.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MULTIPERIOD CHURCH, GRAVEYARD & ENCLOSURE: DERRYNOOSE OLD CHURCH, LISROCATTY, LYSREAKEILTE, LISTRAKELT, ST. MOCHUA'S. Recorded period: MED/L.MED; POST-MED; E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
