Enclosure in Doosky (cremorne By)

Situated at the summit of a drumlin. A small circular feature (diam. c. 20m) is depicted on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’, and it is depicted as a small enclosure (diam. c. 10m) on the 1907 edition. A curving field bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H c. 0.6m; ext. H 1.1-1.4m) and outer fosse or drain (Wth 1m; D 0.1m) survived SSE-NW (Chord c. 8m) in 1968, but it had been removed by 1995 (OSAP).
