Muckram Fort, Clonoose Big is a likely early-medieval ringfort characterised by a raised circular area, surrounded by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, deep fosse. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy dwellings, and the partial remains of a possible man-made underground structure may hint at later or additional use.
