What is recorded here
Walled garden, dated 1861, on a square plan with part ivy-covered coursed rubble stone boundary wall to perimeter having overgrown coping; red brick Running bond surface finish to courtyard elevations. Now disused. Set in grounds shared with Mount Hevey.
A walled garden carrying the monogram ("FHL") of Frederick Hevey Langan (1825-90) contributing positively to the group and setting values of the Mount Hevey estate: meanwhile, a later shell house ("1912") clearly illustrates the continued development or "improvement" of the estate by John Hevey Langan (1871-1954).
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
