Mound in Stalleen

Situated on a rise on a NW-facing slope overlooking Brú na Bóinne. This has been reported as a grass and furze-covered earth and gravel mound (diam. c. 15-20m) that is known locally as ‘Jack’s Hill’. It was first reported by Joan Mullen. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 28 January 2021

Neolithic passage tomb; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3700–3000 BCE). Its location overlooking Brú na Bóinne suggests a possible ritual or ceremonial significance within the broader landscape of Neolithic monuments in the Boyne Valley.
