What is recorded here

Situated in what was formerly the N corner of a field, this mound of earth and stones measures 8m NW-SE x 5m NE-SW x 2m in height. The adjacent NE-SW field boundary has been removed but it curved outwards at this point (2nd edition OS map) and it was probably this feature that is referred to by the Kerry Archaeological Survey as a semi-circular 'ring' encircling the mound on the W side.
