Mound in Ballymeelish

In undulating countryside. A circular low earthen mound (diam. c. 11m, H c. 1.8m). Neolithic passage tomb; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3700–3000 BCE). Its presence indicates early agricultural settlement and ritual activity in the Ballymeelish area.
