That is the Mound in Ballyduff (ballycowan By.). It stands in County Offaly, Ireland. Whether it is a burial place, a boundary marker or a forgotten household structure remains unknown. The land itself may still remember the hands that shaped it.

Unlocated mound within the townland of Ballyduff that was recorded by the Offaly Historical and Archaeological Society in 1974 as 'Mound W of church. Seems to be a large stone in a field.' (OHAS file 1974) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
