Moel Ddefaid rises to approximately 550 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Carneddau range in the Snowdonia National Park. Its name, meaning "Grey Mound" in Welsh, reflects its sombre, windswept appearance, and it holds significance as a notable landmark for hikers and climbers in the region.
