Situated on a NW-SE ridge overlooking a river ravine below to the N. Depicted as a rectangular enclosure on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map. Only the SE bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) of a rectangular enclosure survives (dims. 22m NE-SW; 35m NW-SE) with traces of an external fosse.
