On flat pasture in undulating countryside with nearby Cauteen River c. 20m to NE and possible ringwork (TS051-029----) c. 50m to SE. Square-shaped area (dims. 43m N-E; 39m E-S) enclsoed by wide flat topped bank (top Wth 2.2m; base wth 5.3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5-1.85m) of earth and stone and external fosse (Wth 3m; ext. D 0.5m) with possible entrance gap (Wth 3.2m) at NE. Modern road intersects site at E destroying bank and external fosse from E to S. Modern gap (Wth 4m) in bank at WSW appears to be of modern appearance.
