What is recorded here
On a gradual W-facing slope in undulating hilly terrain, in pastureland. Monument has been levelled but is still visible as a very low roughly square earthwork (diam. 37.4m N-S; 34.2m E-W) defined by a broad, low earthen bank (Wth 5m) and ext. fosse which is discernible as a darker shade of grass (Wth 2.6-3.9m). Possible moated site levelled post 1969 (OPW files).
