Detached round-plan three-stage windmill, built c.1750. Now ruinous. Rubble limestone walls. Opposed camber-arch doorways with dressed limestone jambs, one opening having roughly dressed voussoirs, and other having lost its voussoirs and partly blocked with rubble. Square-headed window openings to upper stages, with stone lintels.

This windmill is part of the industrial heritage of the region. Although already ruinous by the late nineteenth century, it is a familiar landmark in the locality due to its roadside position and distinctive form. It occupies an elevated position overlooking Derryhiveny demesne.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
