Detached three-bay two-storey mill with half-attic, dated 1848, on a rectangular plan. Closed, 1993. Now disused. Pitched slate roof on collared timber construction with clay ridge tiles, and cast-iron rainwater goods on slate flagged eaves with cast-iron downpipes. Part creeper- or ivy-covered coursed rubble stone walls with inscribed rough cut granite flush quoins to corners ("1848"). Square-headed window openings with rough hewn rubble stone lintels framing fixed-pane fittings behind wrought iron bars (ground floor) or louvered timber fittings (upper floors). Set in shared grounds with rendered piers to perimeter having lichen-spotted shallow pyramidal capping supporting looped wrought iron double gates.

A mill built by 'G. [Garrett] CLONeY [of] MILL QUARt.' representing an integral component of the mid nineteenth-century industrial heritage of County Wexford. A prolonged period out of use notwithstanding, the form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, including an overshot waterwheel pinpointing the engineering or technical dexterity of the composition: meanwhile, scattered date stones not only record the eighteenth-century origins of the mill ("1763") but also illustrate the continued development of the complex in the early twentieth century ("1914").
