Detached three-bay four-storey mill, built c.1810, having three-storey partially collapsed extension to side (south) with remains of single-storey lean-to extension to south elevation. Now derelict. Single-storey with attic addition to side (north) side with further single-storey building attached to north elevation. Associated single-storey outbuilding to south-east. Rubble limestone gables to central block having dressed limestone eaves course, roofs missing throughout with exception of side (north) additions, having pitched corrugated-iron roofs and dressed limestone eaves courses. Rubble limestone walls throughout, having remains of slate hanging to front (west) elevation of central block. Blind round-headed arch with dressed limestone voussoirs to ground floor level of front elevation. Square-headed window openings throughout, some having limestone lintels and sills. Square-headed ventilation openings below eaves level to rear (east) elevation of side (north) addition and side (north) elevation of detached outbuilding. Square-headed door openings throughout with some limestone lintels, some timber battened doors to rear (east) elevation of side (north) addition. Located along roadside, with remains of Millrace and vaulted tunnel to south. Remains of painted wrought-iron gate and square-profile rubble limestone piers, having rubble limestone boundary wall with render coping to south-west.

Despite its ruinous condition this mill has retained much of its original form and fabric. The associated mill race and outbuildings add to its context and setting. A prominent roadside feature, it is a significant reminder of the industrial heritage of the area and would have provided employment and flour to the local community.
