Painted carved stone milestone, erected c.1850, with inscriptions indicating distances to 'D.Keeran 9 Carrick 27 Sligo 11 M.Hamilton 9'. Set against garden wall of house.

This milestone is of social and historical interest, attesting to the coaching era in Ireland of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Displaying inscriptions that are still crisp, it is an attractive item of street furniture.
