Sandstone milestone, erected c.1830. Inscriptions indicating distances to Ballinamore, Boyle, Carrigallen, Drumkeeran, Longford, Mohill, Kinlough and Manorhamilton. Located on roadside at corner of Bridge Street and St. George's Terrace.
This milestone is an attractive and subtle feature in the street furniture of Carrick-on-Shannon. With inscriptions that are still legible, this item is of social and historical interest.
