What is recorded here
A fieldworker who inspected Moneygold cashel (SL005-002001-) in 1991 recorded three holes in the NE sector which he interpreted as a possible Man-made underground passage (SL002-002002-). He noted that 'the soil matrix which makes up the sides of the holes have clusters of sea shells, probably midden material.' (SMR file). The latest field report interpreted the possible Man-made underground passage as being probably badger setts and makes no mention of the possible midden material.
