An Seabhac (1939, 222) noted the ruins of a possible church KE026-022001- in Gort an Bhráthar, a field on the NW side of a low hillock c. 200m from the W shore of Brandon Bay.
A shell midden was previously discovered in the adjacent S corner of Gort an Bhráthar and a decorated bronze object (NMI 1931:103) has also been found in the vicinity.
