Memorial Cross marks the Priest's Grave in County Kildare, where a priest allegedly died during the 1798 Curragh massacre. In 1967, workers digging a new foundation uncovered a human skull, confirming that the grave held real remains rather than only memory. The skull went to the National Museum for examination, then returned to the earth beside the cross.

In 1967, a human skull was found during the digging of a foundation to refurbish a well-known Curragh monument - the Priest's Grave - traditionally regarded as the burial place of a priest killed on the Curragh in 1798 during a massacre of insurgents by Crown Forces under General Duff.
