Knock International Airport may have erased a megalithic tomb, replacing ancient stone with modern runway. That loss sounds inevitable, but it is also a warning about how quickly human history can be paved over. Flight needs visibility, speed and control; memory needs patience, doubt and witness. Both can exist, but only if people refuse to treat the ground as empty.

At Knock International Airport. This possible megalithic tomb was included in the 1991 SMR (1991) and the 1996 RMP (1997) on the basis of information from a local source (SMR file).
