Megalith, court tomb in County Leitrim (LE007-038----)

What is recorded here

Marked only on the 1945 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described as a ‘Megalith’ in gothic lettering, and located within a hollow on a S-facing slope at the N side of the E end of Glencar valley. This is an overgrown cairn (dims 35m NE-SW; 13m NW-SE; H 1.5m) with the remains of a three-chambered gallery (L 9m) and an open court at NE. There is some evidence of a second court and a two-chambered gallery (L 4m) at the SW end. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 55-7). Volume III.
