Rogerstone marks the buried heart of a medieval church in Ballyaltikilligan, County Down. The site still belongs to the medieval period, preserving a place where local people gathered for prayer long before modern boundaries existed. Much of the building has vanished, but the name and location keep its shape alive in the landscape.
