Killaha, County Kerry. A man-made underground passage with several apartments existed inside a rath before men levelled the mound and buried the entrance. The 1840s still remembered a spacious cavern beneath the grass, but that memory has faded into soil. What remains is a hole in the landscape where a chamber used to breathe.

In a rath (KE067-073----). According to local information, a Man-made underground passage was closed when the rath was levelled many years ago. There are no visible remains of this possible Man-made underground passage. It is probably the spacious 'cavern' with 'several apartments' which was described in the 1840s (OSNB, Killaha, no. 2, 8).
