What is recorded here
Knockbrack ridge hides a man-made passage beneath improved pasture, according to local tradition. The exact entrance remains uncertain, possibly swallowed by a rath or buried under centuries of grass and foot traffic. What is clear is that people shaped the ridge below ground, building a route no longer visible but still remembered.
In improved pasture, located on the broad, undulating ridge top. According to local tradition, there is an ‘underground passage’ on the ridge. Its exact location is uncertain, but it may have been within a possible rath (MA062-134----).
