Man-made underground passage in Stooagh

Not marked on the 1841 or 1909 editions of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in an upland area, with good visibility. A slight depression, visible in NE quadrant of ringfort (LA015-008001-) may indicate the line of a Man-made underground passage. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
