What is recorded here

In the heart of a ringfort at Ráth Ghaiscígh, a stone-lined throat dips into darkness, its chambers long forgotten beneath collapsed earth. The passage may have served as a cellar, a refuge, or a place of hidden ritual, but no hand has pulled back its shadow since antiquity. What was buried there remains unnamed, waiting beneath the grass for someone brave enough to listen.

In ringfort (CO081-00601-). McCarthy (1977, 379-80) noted 'opening [which] slopes downwards, stone-lined. Chambers'. No further details. Opening and two areas of collapsed ground in centre of ringfort indicate position; inaccessible. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
