That is a man-made underground passage in Nicholastown, County Louth, Ireland. Local tradition calls it a cave in Cave Field, suggesting people dug or shaped the ground rather than waiting for a rock to break open. The passage may have hidden tools, offered shelter from storm and watcher, or simply amused the village with a hole that refused to stay empty.
