No record exists for the chamber beneath the sod, but the collapsed oval and surrounding banks prove people dug beneath the ringfort. The passage may have served as a cellar, refuge or ceremonial space, and the collapse may have sealed the chamber rather than destroyed it. The oval still holds the shape of a entrance, waiting for someone careful enough to listen before touching it.

On an elevated area of an E-facing slope, in pasture, with excellent views from N-E-S-SW and 200m NW of a townland boundary with Farranafina. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Within ringfort (LI024-079----) abutting bank at WNW. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as a possible collapse into a Man-made underground passage which is visible as a sod covered, sunken oval-shaped area (12m WNW-ESE; 8m NNE-SSW) defined by a broad bank (Wth 8.4m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.2m) at SSW and a narrower bank (Wth 6.45m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 0.2m) at NNE.
