What is recorded here
An earlier report (ITA Survey 1942-4) recorded a 'cave' with 'two openings' in Mullaroe. 'There is a well in the first chamber. This cave has not been fully explored.' This may refer to the Man-made underground passage (SL019-018002-), marked 'Cave' on the OS 1913 edition of the OS 6-inch map, within Mullaroe rath (SL019-018001-).
