What is recorded here

In the rear garden of a house, on a NNW-facing slope. This possible Man-made underground passage was discovered in 2001 during the digging of a soak-pit. According to local information, it consisted of a stone-lined chamber (c. 6m NE-SW; H c. 1m), the roof of which was c. 1m beneath ground level. There are no visible remains of this possible Man-made underground passage that was infilled prior to inspection. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
