No visible trace remains of the circular enclosure marked as a fort on old surveys, though the southwest half vanished before the late 19th century. The passage still belongs to the living land beside the Meennascarty river, where water, root and stone continue the work of people who stopped being named.

There is no visible trace of the circular enclosure KE036-029---- marked on the 1st edition of the OS map and titled 'Fort' on the Fair Plan. The depiction on the 2nd edition indicates that the SW half of the site had been removed by the late 19th century. It was located on level ground about 50m E of the Meennascarty river and about a half-mile S of Tralee Bay. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
