Under Loughanmore, a man-made passage waits in darkness, local memory shaping it into a cave rather than admitting it is a tunnel. That refusal is interesting: people invent broad cave myths before they accept narrow human intent. The ground above may have hidden a road, a boundary, a refuge or a joke told with stone. Whatever it was, it still works because it denies easy understanding.
