What is recorded here

Under the ringfort in Lissacaha, a man-made passage disappeared before modern cameras arrived. Early twentieth-century witnesses described it near the centre, but McCarthy found it closed in 1977. The earth keeps its own counsel, hiding what it wants and revealing only what it remembers.
