That is the passage in Grange, County Galway. Neary (1914) called it an underground passage inside the ringfort, yet only a shallow seven-metre hollow remains, with an earth mound along one side. Perhaps people once walked beneath the garth, or perhaps the passage collapsed and the soil forgot its own shape. Either way, the ringfort still keeps a line of absence where a way should be.

Within a ringfort (GA017-105----). Of this 'rath', Neary (1914, 113, no. 138) remarks that 'the garth, which follows the hill slope, was tilled, and contains a Man-made underground passage'. All that is visible is a shallow linear hollow (L 7m, Wth 3m), running E-W, in the centre of the interior. It is flanked by a mound of earth along N side.
