No one knows when the passage closed or who sealed it, but the absence of a visible entrance suggests deliberate forgetting rather than accidental burial. The region still carries the shape of that choice: a hidden room, a withheld story, a boundary drawn underground instead of on the surface. What is missing is not nothing. It is the part someone decided should not be seen.

Hartnett (1939, 188) noted tradition of 'cave' in NE quadrant of ringfort (CO050-094001-). No visible surface trace.
