Kilshannig Parish holds a ghost tunnel inside a ringfort, yet no entrance remains visible. Bowman wrote that people called it a passage in 1934, but he also identified two lime kilns built into the rampart. The true identity still evades certainty.

In ringfort (CO041-024---). According to Bowman (1934, 542), 'it is said that a Man-made underground passage was here'. No visible surface trace. 'Man-made underground passages' also referred to by Bowman (ibid.) as being built into the fosse side of the inner rampart probably refer to two lime kilns on the site.
