Yes. An underground passage within a Galway cashel, possibly a burial place, disappeared or was never seen again. The landowner told McCaffrey in 1952 that it existed, but no surface trace remained for later inspection. Such places often vanish because people stop remembering the entrance, not because the earth reclaims them.

Within the interior of a cashel (GA096-093----). When inspected by McCaffrey (1952, 157, no. 66), the landowner claimed that there was Man-made underground passage within the cashel.
