Man-made underground passage in Fasagh

On hillside, exact location not known. Discovered 1896, excavated by Sweetman (1897, 149-150). Three chambers, all subrectangular in plan and orientated N-S; partially earth cut, partially rock-cut. Air vents chambers 2 and 3. Rock-cut drain N side chambers 1 and 2. Finds included shells, charcoal, charred wood and animal bones which McCarthy (1977, 244) suggests indicate cooking. Chamber 1: L 1.82m; Wth 1.21m; H 1.04. Chamber 2: L 2.44m; Wth 1.52m; H 1.04m. Chamber 3: L 3.14m; Wth 2.07m; H 0.96m).
