Dunmahon is listed as a man-made underground passage, though local tradition calls it a cave near Dunmahon Castle. The distinction matters because a cave gives itself to erosion and chance, while a passage implies hands, tools and purpose. That is enough to picture people cutting through earth, not waiting for it to collapse.
