What is recorded here

Duarrigle is a hidden chamber in a ringfort, lost to time and memory. It may have been a shelter, a treasury, or a chamber for rituals, but no stone or entrance remains to prove it. The earth closed over the passage, and the people who built it forgot the way in. What is left is a hole in the story, not a hole in the ground.

In ringfort (CO023-001---). Bowman (1934, 183) noted a 'Man-made underground passage was said to have been here, - there is no sign of it now'. No visible surface trace.
