What is recorded here
In pasture, with occasional rock outcropping. McCarthy (1977, 199) described two parallel, sub-rectangular rock-cut chambers (L 3.04m -3.6m; long axes NW-SE); passage leading to chamber 1 from NW; creepway at NE end of chamber 1 to chamber 2. No visible surface trace.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
