Cookstown cave: Man-made underground passage near Cookstown Castle, County Louth. Local tradition says a cave opens close to the castle, perhaps a hidden way for people, goods or fear. The solid ground there may have been cut into, not simply suffered.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
