What is recorded here

In pasture, on the floor of the valley of the Mealagh River with views SE to Mullaghmesha. Myler (1998, 99, no. 71) notes that a 'hole in the ground near the northern ditch' appears to open into an earth-cut Man-made underground passage. The area is now covered by overgrowth and the entrance to this possible Man-made underground passage could not be found. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
